Camouflaged by nature, Chiringuito Tulum is an exclusive and peaceful site on the Mexican coast. Its marked Mediterranean style is subtly combined with Caribbean construction elements. Polished cement, stone and rustic wood finishings are matched with clay vessels, natural textiles, and contemporary artworks.
An oasis for lovers of exotic natural sites, delicate designs, the pleasure of privacy, and exquisite gastronomy. In the midst of an idyllic sea and the untamed wilderness, lies this Mediterranean-style hotel to indulge your senses in a perfectly rustic atmosphere.
Chiringuito Tulum is located in the most exclusive spot of the coast of Tulum, in between the lush natural reserve of Sian Ka’an and the archaeological site of Tulum, 130 kilometers south of Cancun, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Erected as a ceremonial center, Tulum was the only walled city the Mayan culture built by the sea.
El Chiringuito Mediterranean Restaurant:
A large private balcony overlooking the sea, incorporating Mediterranean architectural elements to Caribbean surroundings. A relaxed enclosure surrounded by a stone arch, and characterized by its crafted benches, tables and rustic chairs.
The bar, located next to the restaurant, becomes a vast window overlooking the sea. This rustic and pleasant space is characterized by its recovered wooden pieces and cement-tile flooring. An evocation of the sea, a large hanging fishing net covers the ceiling.
The beach club descends swiftly to the seaside through a staircase surrounded by a Caribbean-style garden of low bushes and tall palm trees. The smooth slope descends onto the beach at the most exclusive point of the Tulum coastal area.
Pool and Private Terrace:
The pool evokes a cenote —a “water hole” in Maya—, landmarks of the state of Quintana Roo. Its stone-framed style recalls the rocky beaches of Ibiza. This open-air infinity pool, along with its natural running-water sound and blue-green slate lining, creates an inviting relaxing experience.
Kitesurfing and Water sports school:
Chiringuito Tulum, in partnership with COA Water Sports, offers visitors the sublime experience of gliding across the water on a board pulled by a kite. Kitesurfing, the most exciting and groundbreaking water sport, may be learned within three days. This sport is meant for everyone to practice, regardless of the practitioner’s age or physical condition, in order to discover the most exotic corners of the coast of Tulum.
The instruction technique developed by the COA team and taught at Chiringuito Tulum helps apprentices learn faster in a safe way, ensuring a customized experience for every learner.
Water adventures are enhanced with other sports and activities available, including paddleboarding, diving and snorkeling.
