The James Beard Award semifinalist and Best New Chef named by Food & Wine Magazine, Chef English will continue his passion for crafting dishes rich in Southern flair with the creation of Magnolia House. This fine dining restaurant will build upon traditional Southern hospitality while raising the bar in the regional culinary scene.
Joining Chef English’s acclaimed eateries, Restaurant Iris and The Second Line in Memphis, Chef English brings his passion for using fresh and local ingredients and flavors from his Southern Louisiana childhood to this exclusive concept located inside the resort. As guests enter the foyer of the restaurant from the front porch, they will select their choice of dining space including the living room, the wine cellar, the bar or the sun porch.
“Our goal was to create a restaurant that would offer a luxurious dining experience with great food and remarkable service that guests would remember,” said Chef English. “I couldn’t be more excited that my first restaurant in Mississippi will be at the new Harrah’s Gulf Coast. The renovated resort is the perfect location to debut Magnolia House.”
The new restaurant is among many improvements.The new Harrah’s resort will build upon the great foundation of the Harrah's Gulf Coast offering new amenities and experiences for the resort’s guests including a redesign of the casino floor, hotel room upgrades and additional hospitality amenities.
