Opened in 1864, Jigokudani Onsen Korakukan lies in front of Snow Monkey Park, in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. Guests may share their outdoor hot spring bath with monkeys. The hotel offers simple Japanese-style accommodation.
Guests can enjoy public indoor hot-spring baths, or choose to unwind in private-use hot-spring baths. Local products can be purchased at the gift shop and you can also play table tennis. Guests can also see monkeys looking in from the property window, as monkeys are generally around the property. The property is famous for being the origin of the Shinfuseki-style of Go, and guests are able to play games of Go at the property.
The rooms feature heating facilities, tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Bathrooms and toilets are shared.
Japanese meals are served for breakfast and dinner at the dining room. A Western breakfast is available if requested in advance.
Kanbayashi Bus Stop can be reached in about 30 minutes' hike over a mountain path.
