La Catalina Hotel is an Adult-only Clothing Optional Costa Rica Boutique Hotel set on the mountainside valley overlooking the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, spread over a luxuriant area of six acres with numerous accommodation choices - including Private Villas, Hot tub Suites, Passion Suites and Hotel Rooms - all befitting the old world feel of a Spanish hotel.

Restaurants & Bars:
Temptarion Restaurant & Bar: The Hotel's front terrace is a place to enjoy a fine dining atmosphere with a full menu daily. Signature dinners include Garlic Mahi-Mahi, and a Lobster dish prepared perfectly by the LaCatalina's chefs. Enjoyable from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., food service begins at 7:00 am with a full breakfast to late night dinner, closing at 10:00 p.m. The winecellar stocks a full selection of wine, to compliment any meal. For after-dinner entertainment, sit back to listen or dance to live music or DJ on the open-air terrace or in the bar, closing at midnight. Join one of the open jam sessions - remember to bring your instruments if you play. You will thoroughly enjoy the overall ambiance of the resort.
Sports Bar: Take in the sports game, order food and relax. The sports bar is a great place to hang out. Take a dip in the pool, search for the perfect tan and order a drink at the same time. This is the bar to enjoy the BBQ nights or just hang out.
Library Bar: A favorite gathering spot takes place in our library bar - have drinks before or after dinner, or order a delicious appetizer and stay all night. The friendly staff are happy to serve you, are extremely knowledgeable on what to see and do while in Costa Rica, so pull up a chair and join in the fun.

Physical activities are not restricted to the Estate's Grounds, rather the perfect positioning of the Hotel La Catalina is right in the midst of Mountain Biking, Hiking and Volcano Exploration paths frequented by novices and experts alike. The grounds of the Hotel also have an outside soccer pitch.
Upper Pool
Beautiful lap sized pool situated adjacent to the Main Mansion of the Estate that's surrounded by White Linen Cabana Beds in the old world tradition.
Restaurant and Bar service from the Temptations Restaurant is available poolside, while rejuvenating valley breezes sooth you when relaxing at La Catalina's Upper Nude Pool.
Pool - Clothing Optional
Come and Enjoy the Lower Clothing Optional Pool with Poolside Bar at La Catalina. Adjacent to the Estate's Villas, this pool is a Serene Private Enclave where you can come as you are and be yourself!
Surrounded by traditional Stonework, the Lower Pool has a Barbeque pit next to the Poolside Bar where you can relax and have a bite, and watch an amazing sunset into the San Jose valley below.
Tennis Court
It is hard to find a Tennis Court anywhere in Costa Rica and the Hotel La Catalina has one, as befits an opulent Estate, which this Boutique Hotel once was. This is also a unique Clothing Optional Tennis Court since the Estate's seclusion permits complete privacy when playing the Sport of Kings!
You don't have to bring your tennis rackets or balls, as they are provided complimentary of the Hotel!
