The AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest is located along the Qawra promenade with everything a guest might need at the doorstep of the resort. The nearest towns are Bugibba, where you can find many different shops of all kinds as well as St. Pauls Bay, originally a fishing village. This is the place where it is believed that St. Paul’s shipwreck had occurred and whilst walking along the promenade you can get a very clear view of the beautiful St Paul’s Islands. Although Qawra is not renowned for any historical evidence, very close to the resort are the Salina Salt Pans built by the Grand Master La Vallette of the Knights of St. John during their rule over Malta. The resort overlooks a breath-taking view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Situated in the north of Malta, this sought after resort is conveniently located just 19 km from the Malta International Airport, 10 km from Mdina (the old capital city), 16 km from Valletta and a 10-minute walk from the Malta National Aquarium. The Cirkewwa ferry terminal is only 4 km away and from here you can catch a ferry to the sister islands of Gozo and Comino. Qawra has continued to develop rapidly over the past 20 years and has become a very popular destination for tourists visiting the island. With numerous cafes, pubs, discos, and restaurants you can be sure to stay active while visiting Qawra & Bugibba.
