Located in the northern wilderness of Maine, the 170-year-old Bradford House B&B invites guests to relax deep in the woods of the Pine Tree State. The two-story non-smoking bed-and-breakfast has four individually decorated rooms, each with a private bath. Beds are piled high with fluffy down comforters, crocheted bedspreads and quilts. Turndown service, along with hot tea and cookies, is provided nightly. Step back in time and enjoy a soak in a claw-foot tub with water heated by the circa 1907 wood stove, lovingly nicknamed Alice. The front parlor is loaded with books and games; there's a small TV there, too. Each morning begins with a hot homemade breakfast. Explore the bed-and-breakfast's 17 acres of fields, woods and gardens, as well as the post-and-beam barn built in 1840. Parking is free. Please note that front desk hours vary at bed-and breakfast-properties. Guests planning to arrive before or after the 12PM check-in time should contact the bed-and-breakfast for special instructions. The bed-and-breakfast is 10 miles west of I-95 and the town of Island Falls. It's 20 minutes by car to Crystal Lake and 30 minutes to Pleasant Lake in Aroostook. New Brunswick, Canada, is one hour west of the bed-and-breakfast, and it's 40 miles to Houlton International Airport. Deep in the Maine woods, warm, cozy rooms with down comforters envelop guests staying at the historic Bradford House B&B.
