The inn is set back off the perfect Cotswold village green with a meandering brook running by. Privately owned, it has been lovingly restored yet still retains its rustic character and traditional charm. With friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of spirit it epitomises all that is great about authentic country living.
Each of the 12 en-suite rooms has been tastefully decorated with furnishings that complement the aesthetic allure of the main building. Every room comes equipped with free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TV with Sky channels, designer toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. They offer rooms above the inn, which are cosy and full of charm or more spacious courtyard rooms (set back from the inn) which have a hint more luxury.
Having been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and featured in The Good Food Guide, the restaurant takes great pride in providing wholesome, hearty and traditional English food, all served with a touch of flair and a spark of imagination. Wherever possible they endeavour to use only the finest locally-sourced organic produce and fresh ingredients. The bar itself oozes charm and character " the high backed settles, open inglenook fireplace and well-kept ales all help to create a wonderfully rich atmosphere.
The Hotel is less than a 15 minute drive from the A44 and provides ample free on-site parking. The city of Oxford is approximately 50 minutes away, whilst it is just over 40 minutes to both Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. For those travelling by rail, its just a 20 minute walk to Kingham Train Station which offers regular services to Oxford. The closest Airport is London Oxford Airport, just 35 minutes away, or its 70 minutes to Birmingham Airport.
Bledington is situated in the middle of an area of outstanding natural beauty and the Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore the scenic North Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Indeed, Bledington itself lies on the famous Oxfordshire Way, a spectacular walking route stretching all the way from Bourton-on-the-Water to the banks of the River Thames in Henley. The Cotswolds are also home to the largest concentration of art and antiques outside London. Visitors can browse for antiques in many of the Cotswold market towns and villages, in particular Woodstock, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Tetbury, all within close proximity to the Hotel. Further historic treasures can be seen at the magnificent Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and a recognised World Heritage Site.
