The hotel is located on the north west coast of Jamaica. It is only a 5 minute drive to the centre of Negril and around 90 minutes to the airport at Montego Bay.

The beach hotel has a total of 59 rooms. The rooms are located in either 1 or 2 storey buildings painted, Caribbean style, in pastel colours and with an imposing tropical garden. As guests of this hotel you are invited to take advantage of the range of services offered by the associated hotels Merills Beach Resort II & III, to be found only a stone's throw away on the 10 km long beach. Amongst the hotel's facilities count a foyer with a reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a beach bar, a cyber cafe, a public Internet connection, laundry services and parking for those arriving by car. An al fresco restaurant is also available. Indulge in the pure pleasure of dining there while the sun sets over the Caribbean.

The rooms include an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV and a ceiling fan. In addition, a hire safe, a double or king-size bed and individually adjustable heating and air conditioning as well as a terrace are also provided in all lodgings as standard.

The grounds feature a swimming pool as well as a sun terrace with bathing towels, sun loungers and parasols. Further leisure options include billiards, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, banana boating, pedal boating and beach volleyball. A live entertainment programme is provided twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays).
