A historic log house overlooking lake and forest, with antiques-filled rooms and a gourmet breakfast, the non-smoking Knickerbocker Mansion Country Inn gives visitors to Big Bear Lake a unique vacation experience. This secluded and comfortable bed and breakfast consists of two non-smoking buildings: the renovated 1920 mansion and a carriage house. The 12 rooms all have antique furnishings combined with modern amenities such as cable TV, a DVD/VCR player and voicemail. Wi-Fi is available on a guest computer in the mansion. The inn's chef creates a two-course breakfast every morning and dinner on weekends. Coffee, tea and pastries are served throughout the day. Guests can hike through the two-and-a-half acres of private woods, play croquet on the lawn, nap in the veranda's hammock or read in front of the living room fireplace. Parking is free.
